Ms. Brush has been teaching instrumental, vocal, and general music for 9 years in the Little Silver School District. She co-directs the school musical and is the cross-country coach.
She graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in clarinet. In 2013, she completed a Master’s Degree in Music from Northwestern University with an emphasis in instrumental music; including extensive study in string pedagogy, comprehensive musicianship through performance, and curriculum and instruction. Ms. Brush enjoys staying up to date with current trends in music education and has a passion for instrumental music and innovative curricular development. She is a member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA), New Jersey Educators Association (NJEA), and the Cecilian Music Club.
Ms. Brush plays the clarinet and piano professionally and freelances throughout the area. She performs with the Asbury Park and Belmar municipal bands. In addition, she is a coach for the New Jersey Symphony Youth Orchestra and maintains an active private lesson studio.
In her free time, Ms. Brush enjoys running, yoga, traveling, tennis, and the beach. She loves working with the students, staff, parents, and community members in Little Silver. She feels fortunate to work in such a supportive community that values the arts.
